Pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads can form on the face, chest, arms, neck, and back. Acne can range from mild to severe and can last a few weeks, months, years or can come and go throughout life. Several factors contribute to the onset of pimples. Both adult and teenage acne is usually caused by hormonal changes in the body. Hormonal Acne is very common among young women and some men. Most importantly, elevation of hormones produced during puberty or the menstrual cycle in women result in the hormone by-product called DHT. This hormone by product overstimulates the oil gland resulting in plugging of the pore and acne production. Clogged pores or follicles are a primary cause of pimples. Skin bacteria ( Propionibacterium acnes) multiply in clogged pores where they release a substance that can produce irritation and inflammation. The wall of the pores can sometimes burst, spreading inflammation to the surrounding skin. This results in acne lesions that go from blackheads to pimples to nodules. Common over-the-counter medications for pimples are Benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic acid. Both medications can be found in many creams and gels used to treat acne through topical application. You can try different products for acne that you apply on your skin but its best to work on taking care of your body from the inside out. Try drinking 1 cup a day of aloe vera juice for at least 2 weeks to see results. It has a bitter taste, but it has done wonders for my skin b/c I use to break out real bad but when I started drinking that my skin started clearing up and people would ask me if I had makeup on b/c my skin looked flawless. I heard about the honey remedy for pimples, but never tried it. I use toothpaste and it works wonders. If I get a pimple or a few, I dab on the toothpaste and let it dry and usually by morning my face is clear. Only use toothpaste and not the gel. Good Luck!

no idea .. what does work is tooth paste or shaving cream JUST A BIT.. then bandage it up for the night there will practically be nothing of an average pimple.. prolly no discoloration either ={D

I’ve been suffering from acne about 2 years already, i went to the doctor….the kind of doctor who take care of face and that and that, he told me to do this and that, he told tme to drink alot of water eat alot of fruit and wash my face daily….i did, i drink a whole bunch of water a day eat all kind of fruit and wash my face alot …only improve a little….not much, then a few day ago i ask him (the doctor) is there a cure for acne, he said no…! is it true that there is no cure for acne???? have anyone suffer from acne and succefully cure it T_T

I have and I started to use Proactiv and it works really good as long as you used it twice a day like it says it cleared my whole face up and it has been clear ever since.

At this point, you could try using products like ProActive. Ask your dermatologist about Differin also, it’s a prescription for acne.

that is true that it doesn’t really go away forever for some people. for other people it disappears when they become an adult. i found that only washing your face 2 times a day is best (washing too many times can irritate your skin and make the acne worse).
i haven’t tried proactiv, but i like neutrogena oil-free acne wash. it’s cheaper than proactiv and it works well. i also found putting toothpaste on your zits before bed can help any existing pimples to “dry out” faster.

I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
